"Yes I Can."

We say it in class every time we snap to attention. From the very first “bow in” at the beginning of class to the lining up to close class.

The power of our beliefs controls everything we hold to be true. There are winners and losers in every aspect of life. Our attitude is always determined by our belief’s. The difference in success and failure is our belief in our self. That work on belief in yourself is never ending and will be tested often.

We all are a creation of each of the beliefs we have about ourselves. Our attitude is determined by our beliefs. Many of these beliefs and internal thoughts are not really our own. They are something others said to us or how others treated us.

So, to propagate a new belief in ourselves we yell out each and every time we come to attention “Yes I Can”. Each time we teach a new and more difficult technique we have students who have an internal battle over being able to do the technique. Some don’t want to try because their own internal dialog is that they would rather not try then to try and fail.

One of the first things taught in the first few minutes of the first day class is to say out loud, yes I can. It starts the process of believing in yourself and is reinforced through out every class right up to the end of class.

Confidence and Leadership follow right in the framework of that very first class and are designed into the curriculum of all our classes.
